Concealed screws further simplify the knob's look, rather than taking away from the piece's classy appearance. A handy, turn-button locking switch has indentations for the thumb and index finger for easy locking operations. This locking knob is constructed from solid-forged brass for unsurpassed strength and durability. The unit installs quickly and easily with drive-in, square or mortise applications. The knob fits doors 1-3/8 to1-7/8 inches thick.. The unit is adjustable for 2-3/8- or 2-3/4-inch backsets to fit a wide variety door and jamb styles. The system meets ANSI Grade-2 security specs, and is UL listed with a 3-hour fire rating. Best of all, the knob is designed so that you have to hold the lock-button down as you close the door from the inside, which means you can't accidentally lock yourself out.
